How is my data stored?
Lithos saves your data locally on your device in the Geopackage standard (version 1.3). This file format is a SQLite database according to the prescribed standard.
What are the device requirements?
You need an iPad or iPhone capable of running iOS 26.5 or newer.
Is an internet connection needed?
We support offline maps so that you can download maps before you go out in to the field.
What type of records are available?
We have forms for: - landforms - outcrops - rock types - contacts - structures - samples and more to come. Also, you can add photos, notes and sketches to each observation.
Can I make multiple stratigraphic columns?
Yes, absolutely. You can create as many stratigraphic columns as you need for your project area.
